Free Comic Book Day!!! [ 2005-05-07 ]
Ok, so I'm kinda dopey posting this now when I've had all week to do it (and meant to post earlier), but I'm going to be at the Paperback Bazaar today (Saturday) from 2-4ish. I have a little mini comic of collected squarecat comics that I'll be handing out. So, if you've got nothing to do on this rainy day, come see me! Also, the Johnny Raygun guys will be there too! |
Love the new Ben Folds album [ 2005-05-01 ]
Songs for Silverman. I highly recommend it. Buy it. Now. Listen for "Late" an extremely beautiful ode to Elliott Smith. I knew Elliott played some "fine guitar," but who knew he played some "dirty basketball"? While some call it an impersonal tribute, I think they're not listening closely enough and not appreciating the subtle moments. Also, "Give Judy My Notice" is so catchy I've had it stuck in my head for days, and can't complain about it! |
Phew, busy today... [ 2005-04-27 ]
I'm a bit busy today, so I wasn't able to do a comic. I felt like I was going to post something cool, but I'm so tired out, I can't remember. Oh yeah, Kung Fu Hustle! It was so good. I laughed so hard I thought I wasn't going to stop. I highly recommend it (especially if you love slapstick!). I can't wait to see Shaolin Soccer next. Ok, I need to go to bed. Hopefully I'll post a comic tomorrow night. |
Ironman Fans Read THIS!!! [ 2005-04-24 ]
Ok, so maybe Ironman is a little...uncool. I mean, have you ever heard anyone say that they "had a date with an electrical cord before"?!! Come on! And that mustache. Whoooeee, that mustache. Definitely NOT for the ladies. Still, Ironman does kick some ass and there's something to be said for a genius wearing a suit made out of spandex metal. That being said, I came up with a little squarecat tribute to this oft overlooked and underappreciated character. I like to call it Ironcat. Enjoy: Ironcat Matt colored it and added the rivets to that cool font. |
